Why do people "like"their own status on Facebook? I mean they put it up cos they liked it enough to see it on facebook all day no?

And what the fuzz is Google Buzz? Will it deter Twitter? Is this rhyme a crime?

Me: Hey! How's Nairobi?
S(friend who has just moved to Nairobi): Hey hi, its nice
Me: Is it exactly like Vishwatma?
S: --------------
Me: You know, like the movie. Ajgar jurrat ki lanka.
S: oh that was made in Nairobi. I see.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Me(jubiliant after getting an A on my assignment): Dhak ki tiki Dhak ki tiki!
Roomate: I'm going back to my room.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's the problem with being a movie fanatic. People don't ever get you. They blink and assume you've lost it. Although some do that even when I'm not spewing hindi dialogues. Like my parents.

My priceless one-liners even if uttered at the right moment fall flatter than a smashed tomato in a bazaar.

But, why can't we ever converse in filmy dialogue? It would make even everyday banal topics so much more interesting. I mean, how riotous it must have been for that dude from that movie to say, "Mera naam hai bulla, rakhta hoon hamesha khulllaaaaa"

Or when SRK to gazed so deeply towards the camera and said "Kuch Kuch hota hai Anjali, tum nahi samjhogi"(and made 90% aunties watching have an orgasm right in the theatre)

Think about it. Alvida nahi, phir milenge.

Counting my blessings

Mom.
Mom.
Mom.
Dad.
Dad.
Dad.
Brother.
Brother.
Brother.
Brother (he gets an extra one cos he's kinda awesome in a "I hate to love you, but loathe to hate you" way).
Dark chocolate
Generous people who give/have given me rides to get around this town.
New people, places, experiences.
New ideas.
The chance to make my passion my job.
Coffee to help me keep going.
People who take my drunk calls and talk to me.
Friends who always remember my birthday.
Friends who forgive me for forgetting theirs because they know I suffer from a rare kind of amnesia.
Friends who stay friends no matter how out of touch we are(totally my fault).
Two good feet. As long as I can walk, I'll get somewhere.
This heart which has not given up on love.
This mind that is quick to not give in to love or a notion thereof.
Love. That loves this awkward, geeky, nonsensical, whimsical, misassuming herself to be above emotion, weak fool.

I hate this template

In true womanly form, I got bored of the blog look and decided to change it. Unfortunately, being less techno-savvy than Laloo, I have failed to find a suitable look. Or rather, I haven't figured out how get THAT look onto THIS page. Or for that matter, how to scratch out a sentence - you know, draw a line through it, it looks so cool. But I haven't figured out how to do it yet.

Till then, this is it. Don't get too attached to it though. Like those puppies in my building that were "given away." It hurts to this day. You've been warned.
